• This week’s bouquet.

  • Accidental cat selfie.

  • Star Trek “Discovery” is a great modern adaptation but it makes me so sad about modernity.

  • Today I discovered that my willingness to incorporate color in my wardrobe falls within a very limited saturation spectrum.

  • It’s 81 degrees outside and sunny, so all the neighborhood kids have started screaming. They’re fine; it’s just what they do.

  • I am the opposite of bling. I vote “no” on bedazzle. But there is something about the Christmas holiday… a sparkling red faux cranberry is enough to flutter my very heart.

  • Gracie in wonderland.

  • No matter how careful I am, the blackberries exact their revenge on my arms.

  • I love that it takes me ~10 minutes to read my timeline. Friends, I’m in an airport, my bag forlornly circling on a carousel downstairs. Look at this. We’re not content to just ride on the wind, we must make a system of it!

  • 35% ear.

    Sleeping cat face.
  • I spent the time productively, at least. Does anyone enjoy plucking thyme off stems? I know, I know, it’s delicious on a fried egg, but seriously.

  • I’m still astonished to find people updating their websites and, what’s more, really writing, for clarity and style. What’s your excuse? I think, and then mentally gesture at the phone on my ear, where a Nike customer service rep explains that they can’t find my return.

  • The rabbit was in the front garden this morning as I was taking out the trash. “Don’t eat the dahlias.” I told it. Its nose wiggled at me.

  • Nose pressed against the screen.

  • I dreamed a scientist was explaining that the space probe would be delayed at Saturn before going to Mars. My executive function pointed out that Saturn was farther away than Mars. You should have seen the scientist try to work through that, than the dream melted like wax.

  • Realized this is my last weekend before a heavy travel month, so I started laying June out and realized that I’ll spend more than half the page out of town or out of the country. So much for goals.

  • Where did we land with plants? Are they fundamentally the branch and leaf or are they fundamentally the root? These damn weeds would indicate the latter.

  • Instinct is amazing. My cat watches grey squirrels in the yard every day without a care but today there was a small grey baby hare in the yard and she lost her damn mind. I was like, how can you even tell the difference?

MEE MEE MEW MEE ECK ECK MEE MEW!

  • Friend of birds and bees.

  • Getting the hang of bullet journaling. Thank you to whoever on here referred to it a couple weeks ago, causing me to look it up and fall into this rabbit hole.

  • I am the target audience for The Kid in the Hall reboot and I’m not going to lie… it’s delightful in every way.

  • It’s Friday and “Misread” by Kings of Convenience hits the spot. Strumming acoustic folk pop, sometimes they summon Simon & Garfunkel in all the right ways, other times they sound like the neighbor’s wind chimes. No one helps me stretch out a pause like they do.

  • The bathroom has a spider, tentatively crawling across the pristine stone countertop. I’m going to leave it alone, of course—we both know it’s lived here the whole time and has had a terrifying few weeks. It’s scoping things out as much as I am.
